How to Reset Canon IP2770 Error 5B00

canon ip 2770 printer is a relatively new printer, one day I found the problem on this printer, there is an error writing 5B00 on my computer, I think it must be reset. therefore I will explain how to reset printer canon ip 2770.

to reset printer canon ip 2770 we need to have the software to reset the printer, the software can be downloaded here.

Now we go into session manual reset:

1. Turn the printer off and allow the power cable and data cable still attached
2. Press the RESUME button while still in the press the RESUME button, press the POWER button.
3. Then release the Resume button, but do not loose the POWER
4. while pressing the POWER button, press the Resume button 5 times and the LED will flash alternately, green, orange with orange flame of the last (remember the press as much as 5 times do not let one 4 times because the printer will be totally dead, but it is only temporary)
5. Then release both buttons simultaneously. and the LED will blink for a while and it will glow green
6. Then the computer will detect the new device. and just ignore it. Now the printer is ready to be reset by software.

and further steps are we reset with software that has been downloaded:

1. Exctract File iP2770 Resetter
2. Prepare 2 paper in the printer, paper used for printing during the reset process
3. Run iP2770 Resetter program, so the window appears as below

4. Click "MAIN", and printers will proceed, then the printer will be printing a page
which reads "D = 000.0"

5. click the "Clear EEPROM"
6. then click the "EEPROM", and the printer will do the printing again, with the result in one
line reads "TPAGE (TTL = 00 000)"

7. Turn the printer off by pressing the POWER button
8. Now the process of resetting was completed, good luck....
